Welcome to our Thursday Newsletter! Independent musicians have been asking for a level playing field since the music industry first got started. But it always depended on who you knew and who you could get access to. Here at Music Xray, we knew that great A&R tools would need to include an efficient and effective way for the industry to access the best independent songs and talent. The result is a platform that brings state-of-the-art technology to the process of identifying high potential (and opportunity-appropriate) songs and talent. And in the process, we've created a level playing field. Now anyone can get to the industry's top ears and be guaranteed they're listening and that a response will be received. And remember, even if your song isn't selected, your song's ratings influence its visibility to other professionals. You could be contacted when you least expect it. Enjoy this week's newsletter and opportunities. Jeff Blue recently signed Australia based rockers "Slow to die" to his label Rock Shop Music Group after hearing their submission on Music Xray. When asked how they made the connection, Jeff said they submitted their song and he felt an undeniable chemistry and so they decided to take the next step. After their initial conversation on Music Xray Jeff set up a Skype consultation with the band, and they both agreed they wanted to work together. Jeff describes the band as having a "flavorful, hardcore, and rough" sound with a "very different form" to their writing. They've recently recorded their new album in LA under Jeff's supervision, and they're currently in the process of mixing the album. Having already garnered significant interest with several high-profile labels, Jeff says it's "very important to get music out there with integrity and making personal calls on a case-by-case basis".
